i took a little blogication.
i was burnt out.
i had no inspiration for posts outside of the typical & even the regulars were getting boring.
i was bored writing them, so i’m sure they were boring to read.
i took a crash course on infant carriers and strollers at buybuybaby with my sister last weekend. who knew there was that much to learn (& we only got to the basics) about them? on that note, sister got the cutest cowmooflage carrier & stroller (oh, p.s. she’s having a baben 🙂 ).
i found my writing portfolio from ncstate, when i was an english major & i read all pieces i had kept. made me realize i really still LOVE creative writing, wonder if that’s coming back to me?
i started keeping a food journal to cut down on my snacks, because i’m a really bad later in the day snacker. but on day 4ish i forgot to keep writing down food. but snacking is down 🙂
sister has a new blog. i’m working on a header design for her…. check it out though.
i had a paper to write for career development this week, i’m not sure if it was finding my writing from ncstate or what, but i hope my teacher “gets” my paper, since my writing style is a bit out there. whatever, the paper was about me.
jessica & i decided to move to charleston when i (FINALLY) graduate. we’re also going to israel next year to visit the other jessica. guess we better start saving money.
last year for my sisters birthday i compiled a list of 26 things about her (because she turned 26 last year).
one of the things i wrote was “when i think of her i see lemonade & sunshine”.
this is a very true statement.
she’s such a cheery person & always makes me laugh & feel so loved 🙂
happy 27th birthday jennifer, i couldn’t ask for a better sister!
[lover chu boots!]
we’re on the way to the mountains as i write this post. i love love love asheville (so does my mom & sister) & we’re headed staright to the biltmore for an early lunch, going on a tour (that place never gets old), & then we’re off the the winery (biltmore’s limited edition chenin blanc is insane).
i’m going to TRY to remember to take lots of pictures 🙂
have a wonderful tuesday, oops i mean wednesday y’all 🙂
Posted with WordPress for BlackBerry.
the weekend at the beach was a much needed mini-vacation & the festival was so much fun. i got my funnel cake & lemonade & we wandered the rows of vendors on saturday & sunday. saturday afternoon sister & i met up with friends at the local wine shop for a wine tasting. it was great to catch up & the weather was perfect. sister & i took lots of fun/face making pictures, people were looking at us weird, but oh well 🙂
[last 2 pictures are from my sister]
a great day for hoops & yoyo.
my sister & i open all of the hoops & yoyo cards when we’re in hallmark. they’re hilarious. i can’t wait for sarcastic wednesday 🙂
day 5 is all about siblings.
well i only have one, but she is the only one i need!
my sister jennifer is 4 years older than me & my ultimate role model.
she’s ambitious, a 2nd mother, my twin (people have always asked if we’re twins), she can calm me down from my crazy freak outs, she’s creative & artistic, a super hard worker, she sends me little handmade cards for no reason (& for reasons), she is always taking pictures (because i always forget to), she LOVES conversation hearts, we quote movies to each other in the middle of conversations (one of our favorites is the cute little girls from the holiday, …imagine adorable little english accent here….”daddy, do mr. napkin head!” “daddy, she has more marshmallows than i do!”), her handwriting looks like a computer typeface it’s so perfect, she’s a super cute little homemaker, we both love the 4th of july, and i can only hope to be half the person she is one day 🙂
[out to lunch in the queen city, 2009]
a few little facts, she has a degree in business & is the interior design coordinator for a custom home builder, she lives on the coast of nc & celebrated her 4th wedding anniversary this year. growing up we were close but we’ve only gotten closer as the years have passed. we fight over names for our future kids & have made a list of all names we both like & divided them up.
[our first trip to nashville to see abi (sisters’ bff growing up), 2009]
we get crazy ideas sometimes, but it’s always a great memory in the end. i don’t know what i would do without my big sister 🙂
my blog is a one year old!
wow, i can’t believe it’s been a year.
no, i didn’t regularly blog until january but since then i’ve kept it up,
if it’s interesting or not to other people, i don’t know,
but blogging has been a great way to get random thoughts out there.
thanks for reading if you have 🙂
over the past year i’ve switched my blog over to wordpress,
(which i LOVE)
& have definitely changed the header about 2938738 times,
but my colors have always been black, white, & purple.
i’ve had a few failed ventures,
30 for 30 only lasted a week for me.
i’ve not kept up with the daily outfit photobooth pictures in the last few months,
_casa_de_isabelle_ hasn’t had lots of posts yet,
i do love new blog fridays and today in 5 pictures_,
i hope y’all enjoy them too!
a few things about the blog explained:
1. i started this blog at my sister’s suggestion, she has one & i love it, but i wasn’t sure i’d have much to blog about. well some days i don’t, some days i just can’t say how i feel & can only express through pictures, & some days i blog way too much.
2. i named my blog kismet&company because i love love love words. kismet is a turkish word & means fate or destiny. i will also own up to the fact that the first time i read the word (or first time i can remember) was in the book new moon, i don’t care, i love those books!
3. i started _casa_de_isabelle_ because i do love interior design, but i didn’t want my blog to be so scattered, so a specific post title tag clears some of that up, i thought _casa_de_isabelle_ was cute because essentially it means elizabeth’s house in spanish.
4. new blog friday came about because i love finding new fun blogs to inspire me & give me new ideas & wanted to share.
5. last, today in 5 pictures_ why 5? it’s my favorite number.
have a wonderful tuesday y’all!
& thank you again for reading my ramblings 🙂
