i could give you fifty reasons

something that has bugged me for a while…..

ever since i moved kismet & company from blogspot to wordpress (i heart wordpress) i haven’t liked that commenting is a little more than difficult & annoying.

so, i used my thousands of dollars of school loans knowledge & redirected my blogspot blog here.

now i can use my google id to comment, have a picture next to my comment, & have the link directed to this blog.

here’s what i did:

[one] in your blogger dashboard, click the “design” tab in the primary navigation.

[two] once in design, select “edit html” in the secondary navigation.

[three] after the <head> tag (very close to the top of the html) i added this code:

<meta content=’1;url=https://kismetandcompany.wordpress.com/’ http-equiv=’refresh’/>

the “1” right after content are the # of seconds it takes for the page to refresh & the url is my current blog address.

[four] i also added a note onto my blogspot blog that tells the user they’re being redirected & where to using this code:

<div style=’position: absolute; top: 30px; left: 30px; border: solid 2px #333; color: #000; background-color: purple; padding: 5px; width: 400px; z-index: 5; font-family: Century Gothic, sans-serif; font-size: large;’>
<p><strong>moved my blog to WordPress!</strong></p>
<p>you are being redirect to my current blog address. if that doesn’t happen, visit<br/> <a href=’https://kismetandcompany.wordpress.com/’&gt; <italics>https://kismetandcompany.wordpress.com</italics></a&gt; <br/> and update your blogroll :)</p>

i placed it just after the <body> tag near the end of the html.

[five] test & you’re done 🙂
